Tatiana Valverde da Conceicao

Dr. Valverde da Conceicao is a Child and Youth Psychiatrist at the Reproductive Life Stages Program at Women’s College Hospital. She’s an Assistant Professor at University of Toronto. Her clinical work involves general Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a special focus on early childhood mental health.
She studied Medicine at the Federal University of Porto Alegre in Brazil, where she also completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry residency training and PhD. She started her academic career at the University of Brasilia, in Brazil. Prior to joining the University of Toronto, she served as an Assistant Professor at Queen’s University, Canada.
She has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and is actively involved in collaborative research projects both nationally and internationally. Additionally, she serves as an Associate Editor for the journal Trends in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. She has also supervised undergraduate research projects, resulting in poster presentations and honors at academic conferences.
Dr Valverde da Conceicao is a clinician teacher who has taught both undergraduate medical students and postgraduate residents in Psychiatry, Child Psychiatry, Pediatrics, among others in Brazil and Canada. She has been actively engaged in international collaborations to advance education in Child Psychiatry, participating in task forces at AACAP and IACAPAP. Her work has been recognized through Education awards at Queen’s University, Women’s College Hospital and the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
